Privacy Policy

How KOPPD collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of the KOPPD mobile application ("KOPPD", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

In short: we collect only what we need to run the App, and we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.

1. What we collect

We collect only the following personal information:

InformationWhy we collect it
NameTo create and identify your account and personalise the App
Email addressTo register your account, verify it, reset your password and send service messages
Phone numberTo verify your identity, secure your account and contact you about your account
LocationTo provide location-based features of the App

We also collect basic technical data automatically — device type, operating system version, app version, and error or crash logs — so we can keep the App working and fix problems. This data is used only for App operation and stability.

We do not collect payment card numbers, government identifiers, or sensitive information such as health, biometric, political or religious information.

2. How we collect it

  • Directly from you — when you register, complete your profile, or contact us.
  • From your device — location data and technical data, with the permissions you grant in your device settings.

3. Location data

Location access is optional and controlled by you. The App asks for permission before accessing your location, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings. If you turn it off, location-based features may stop working or become less accurate. We use your location only to deliver features in the App — not for advertising or profiling.

4. How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • create, verify and manage your account;
  • provide and improve the features of the App;
  • communicate with you about your account, security and service updates;
  • respond to your enquiries and provide support;
  • keep the App secure and prevent fraud or misuse; and
  • meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that has a legal effect on you.

5. Disclosure — we do not share your data with third parties

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own purposes, including advertising, marketing or data brokerage.

Your information may only be accessed:

  • by our own personnel who need it to operate and support the App, under confidentiality obligations; and
  • where we are required or authorised by law — for example, in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or lawful request from a government or law enforcement agency, or to protect someone's safety.

If we ever need to change this approach — for example, to engage a service provider — we will update this Policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

6. Storage and security

We store your information on secure servers and protect it with measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption of data in transit, and restricted administrative access. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only for as long as we need it to meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

8. Your rights and choices

You can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
  • Withdraw permissions such as location access, at any time in your device settings;
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential messages using the link in the message or by contacting us;
  • Delete your account and the personal information associated with it, from within the App or by emailing us (see how to delete your account); and
  • Complain if you believe we have mishandled your information (see section 11).

To make any of these requests, email ofer@mobilebeat.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Children

The App is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Overseas storage

Your information is stored and processed on servers that may be located outside Australia. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

11. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email ofer@mobilebeat.com.au with the details. We will investigate and respond to you in writing. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available in the App or on our website, with the "Last updated" date at the top. Where changes are significant, we will notify you in the App or by email.
